At Acme Bus Company we are committed to reducing the spread of Coronavirus and maintaining the health and safety of our passengers and staff.
We have collated some frequently asked questions below, if you have a question which has not been answered below please contact us.
We are cleaning our vehicles with the same disinfectant that they use in hospitals.
Each vehicle is cleaned every time it comes back to the depot by our experienced team of cleaners.
We make sure that each vehicle is signed off and child friendly each time. We clean all hard surfaces and handles as well as spraying the upholstery.
Wearing a mask is only compulsory on public transport at present so it is not required for your child to wear a mask on our vehicles.
Like other transport companies, we are following the latest guidance from the government. Seats are marked clearly for passengers so that they know where they can and cannot occupy.
Seats that can be used are marked clearly and in accordance with the correct social distancing requirements.
For example, a 53-seater now has a 26-seat capacity.
Currently we are training more drivers and we have also purchased additional vehicles.
Throughout this time, we have remained as proactive as possible. The guidance from the government can be limited and we have worked with the information we have received to the best of our ability.

If we do not have your email address, please register on the website so that we can email you directly. This is especially important for county passengers or those who travel via Essex County Council as we do not receive email addresses for those travelling.
We will publish updated bus timetables late August shortly before schools reopen, passes are normally posted at the beginning of September.
Each year we operate a grace system for passes. This normally lasts for the first 2 weeks of the September term. We may review this due to the COVID-19 situation. Please keep an eye on this page and our social media for the latest COVID-19 information.
